Compared to last week: steers 600 to 699 lbs 4.00 to 9.00 higher, 700 to 999 lbs mostly steady with instances up to 3.00 higher on 850 to 899 lbs. Heifers 600 to 649 lbs and 700 to 749 lbs mostly steady, 650 to 699 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Very good demand for another large offering. Many attractive cattle to choose from again this week, many home raised cattle and also quite a few back grounded cattle. More big, finishing type cattle featured this week and more flesh overall. This has been an easy feeding winter and the cattle are showing it. Guys are still trying to fill grass orders and competing hard for those type of cattle. An active market through the day today but more aggressive at the start of the sale. Several storms are looming on the horizon for the rest of the week and weekend into next week. Some areas could see over a foot of snow. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, March 27.
