Several long strings and many loads and packages, many packages being tested open heifers, on offer with all but one consignment coming off grass. Less flesh overall than last week as expected with less lot cattle. Quality similar to last week, from plain to attractive. A few consignments of unweaned spring calves offered, these were met with light to moderate demand. A moderate to active market for this offering with recent futures markets making buyers more cautious. Also, producers are trying to get harvested and want to concentrate on accomplishing this large job before taking on cattle. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, October 11.
