Compared to last week: best test on steers 900 to 949 lbs mostly steady with other weight classes of steers not well compared. Best test on heifers 800 to 899 lbs steady to 3.00 lower. Good to very good demand for strings, loads, and packages of yearlings today. More flesh overall this week as there were quite a few lot cattle, some heavy flesh at times on these. Grass cattle were in mostly light to moderate flesh as seen in recent weeks. Quality varied, more plain cattle offered today than last week. A moderate to active market seen for this offering with the last few days of lower futures putting some pressure on things. Field conditions are too wet from rain this weekend for much to be going on, sun and some windy days are needed to dry things out. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, October 4.
