Good to very good demand for yearlings this week. Yearlings sold mostly in loads and strings with all the cattle off grass. Overall quality more attractive this week, most cattle were average to attractive in quality. Moderate to good demand for unweaned spring calves today with best demand seen for reputation outfits, especially a few load lots. Mostly packages on calves with varied preconditioning, but most calves had at least one full round of shots. Quality ran from plain to attractive. An active market on yearlings and moderate to active on calves. More buyers in the seats than last week but most farmer feeders are still harvesting. Rain in the forecast for the next few days will slow harvest progress. Next feeder cattle sale is Wednesday, October 18.
