No sale last week due to Labor Day holiday, compared to two weeks ago: best test on steers 900 to 999 lbs 10.00 to 12.00 higher, 1000 to 1049 lbs 12.00 to 16.00 higher. Heifers not well compared. Very good demand for this large yearling offering featuring mostly loads and strings of attractive cattle coming off grass. Flesh condition mostly light to moderate, a couple feedlot consignments in moderate plus flesh with some heavy flesh at times. An active market with the most activity on those green, stretchy grass cattle. Plenty of interest in filling pens despite the third day of losses on live and feeder cattle futures. Frost possible for some parts of ND tonight, this would be an early frost that most crops are not ready for. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, September 12, expecting 2500 to 3000 yearlings off grass.
