Compared to last week: best test on steers 900 to 949 lbs 7.00 to 9.00 higher, 1000 to 1049 lbs 1.00 to 5.00 higher. Heifers not well compared this week. Very good demand for this offering featuring several long strings of steers and a handful of loads and packages of steers and heifers. The majority of the offering was off grass and in light to moderate flesh. Quality varied, but mostly average to attractive. An active market with buyers determined to own cattle and fill pens with multiple loads of these uniform cattle while they are available. Cooler weather in the forecast for the next week which will be a nice change from the heat and humidity of this week. No sale next Friday due to Labor Day holiday, next feeder cattle sale is Friday, September .
