Compared to last week: best test on steer calves 500 to 549 lbs mostly steady, best test on yearlings 900 to 949 lbs steady to 1.00 higher, 950 to 999 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 lower, 1000 to 1049 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Best test on hefier calves 450 to 499 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 higher, yearling heifers not well compared. Good to very good demand for yearlings today. A couple loads still coming off grass but the rest were out of yards in varied flesh, from moderate to some heavy. Very good demand for a large offering of calves. Many packages and quite a few loads on offer, all off the cow and most had full preconditioning. Many attractive quality calves to choose from, including quite a few colored cattle. An active market with plenty of buyers and farmer feeders in the seats. The mild weather this area has been having is predicted to come to an end next week as there is colder weather and some snow possible in the forecast. Many cows and calves are grazing cornstalks in this good weather. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, November 22.
