Compared to last week: best test on steers 900 to949 lbs and 1000 to 1048 lbs 2.00 to 5.00 higher. Best test on heifers 850 to 899 lbs steady. Good to very good demand for another large yearling offering selling in strings and loads with the majority coming off grass. Flesh mostly moderate to moderate plus, a few lot cattle in heavy flesh. Mostly average to attractive quality in strings and loads, packages varied in quality with a few more plain cattle. An active market with many opportunities to buy multiple loads of cattle which buyer's took advantage of this week. This part of the country is heavily into harvest, both corn and beans. Conditions are dry and warm and there are red flag warnings due to increased fire risk. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, October 11.
