As filed

Compared to last week: steers 850 to 949 lbs and 1000 to 1049 lbs mostly steady, 950 to 999 lbs 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Heifers not well compared. Good demand for today's large yearling offering. The majority of the cattle sold in loads and strings with just a handful of packages. A couple more consignments out of yards than last week but most of the offering came off grass. Flesh varied, from light to some heavy flesh. Overall quality less attractive than last week with quite a few more plain cattle in today's offering. A moderate to active market with a few less buyers here today, most buyers bought one load at at time. Very warm temperatures for this time of year with crops maturing quickly, most producers heavily into bean harvest. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, October 4.
