Compared to last week: steers 850 to 899 lbs 4.00 to 5.00 higher, 900 to 1049 lbs mostly steady. Heifers not well compared. Another large yearling offering this week with the bulk of the offering selling in loads and strings. Quite a few of the packages offered were tested open heifers. Mostly good demand for yearlings today. Flesh comparable to last week, mostly light to moderate plus, with the majority of the cattle coming off grass and one consignment of yard cattle. Quality varied, but mostly average to attractive. An active market but buyers are more choosy selecting multiple loads, choosing to take one or two loads at a time. Cattle on feed report released today was neutral. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, September 27.
