Compared to last week: best test on steers 950 to 999 lbs mostly steady, 900 to 949 lbs and 1000 to 1049 lbs steady to 3.00 lower on a narrow comparison. Good demand for another light yearling offering featuring predominately black steers off grass selling in loads and strings. Quality similar to last week. Flesh varied a bit more this week as the cattle came from a couple different consignors, a few more cattle in moderate plus flesh this week. An active market with the normal crowd of buyers attending, buyers are still taking multiple loads of cattle when offered but the optimism seen earlier this summer has changed as the futures continue to lose ground. At this time both live and feeder cattle futures are negative. Some rain across the area this week, some heavy rains seen in places. Watch local listings for the next feeder cattle sale.
