Compared to last week: best test on steers 900 to 999 lbs steady to 4.00 lower. A lighter yearling offering this week with the majority of today's yearlings being black steers from one family operation selling in a couple strings. Steers were off grass and in light to moderate flesh. Quality similar to last week, average to attractive. An active market with buyers taking multiple loads quite often. At the time of this writing, both live and feeder cattle futures were higher although the last week has been rough. Cooler weather this past week which is expected to continue into next week. Watch local listings for the next feeder cattle sale.
