Compared to last week: A limited comparison of feeder steers and heifers, steady to 4.00 higher. Good demand for this light offering of high quality, weaned steers and heifers. There were several large strings of 200-300 head, full load lots as well, but receipts were reduced due to the below zero temps that have made life difficult for livestock producers. The market was very active as the cattle futures contracts have continued to work their way higher and the worst of this winter storm and arctic temps are now behind us. Larger receipts expected next week as cattle producers are able to more easily load and ship cattle to town.
