Compared to last week: best test on steers 850 to 949 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Best test on heifers 850 to 949 lbs mostly steady. Today's yearling offering was met with good demand. Cattle sold in strings and loads again this week with a few packages, mostly tested open heifers. All the cattle were listed as coming off grass but there was still quite a bit of flesh difference, from light to moderate plus. Overall quality less attractive than last week with more plain cattle offered today. An active market seen for this offering. Widespread rain and high winds the last few days. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, October 20, the annual Anniversary Sale, expecting a large offering of yearlings and the first offering of spring calves.
