No sale last week due to Labor Day holiday, compared to two weeks ago: best test on steers 900 to 950 lbs and 1000 to 1050 lbs mostly steady. Best test on heifers 850 to 900 lbs steady to 2.00 lower and 901 to 950 lbs steady to 2.00 higher. Good demand for yearlings this week with mostly strings and loads on offer, the majority of these coming off grass. A few packages, quite a few of these tested opens, also offered. Flesh mostly light to moderate today with some lot cattle in moderate plus. Quality average to attractive. An active market with lots of buyers present, however the mood is not quite as enthusiastic as seen a few weeks back. Producers busy harvesting corn silage, the area remains on the dry side. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, September 16.
