Compared to a last week: best test on steers 850 to 950 lbs mostly steady, other weight classes of steers and heifers not well compared. Good to very good demand for yearlings again this week. Lots of loads and strings again this week but also more packages, including tested open heifers. A few more home raised cattle this week than have been seeing recently. Flesh varied more than last week as there were a few yard cattle, from light to some heavy flesh. Quality mostly average to attractive. An active but more cautious market this week as many are watching grain markets, especially corn. No sale next week due to Labor Day holiday, next feeder cattle sale is September 9.
