Compared to last week: best test on steers 900 to 950 lbs 2.00 lower with other weight classes of steers and heifers not well compared. Very good demand for a couple strings of steers and a string of spayed heifers included in today's yearling offering. These cattle were green and empty and coming right off grass. A few other loads and several packages included in the offering were met with good demand, including quite a few tested open heifers. Flesh condition varied, from light to some heavy. Quality similar to recent weeks, mostly average to attractive. An active market with the usual crowd of buyers. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, September 23.
