Compared to last week: best test on steers 900 to 1000 lbs 6.00 to 10.00 lower with instances up to 14.00 lower on 900 to 950 lbs. Heifers not well compared. A couple of strings and loads and many packages made up today's offering which was met with good demand. Flesh varied as cattle came both off grass and out of yards, most cattle in light to moderate plus flesh. Quality mostly average to attractive today. A moderate to active market with a more limited crowd of buyers attending the auction today. Both live and feeder cattle futures had a very rough week. Much of the area received some rain last night, although amounts varied. It is still very dry and fall crops are showing heat stress. No sale next Friday due to the Labor Day weekend, next feeder cattle sale is Friday, September 11.
