No sale last week due to Christmas. Compared to two weeks ago: best comparison on steer calves 450 to 500 lbs and 550 to 600 lbs steady to 2.00 lower. Best test on heifer calves 600 to 650 lbs steady to 2.00 lower. Yearlings not well compared. Today's offering consisted of two strings of yearling steers with the balance of the offering in spring calves, slightly over half of the receipts were calves. Good demand for both calves and yearlings. Flesh on the yearlings mostly moderate to moderate plus with some tag on these cattle. Quality on yearling cattle mostly attractive. Calves all sold in packages today. Only about one third of the calves were weaned and many did not have full preconditioning. Flesh on the calves mostly light to moderate. A moderate to active market for this offering. Another large snowstorm hit much of the state at the beginning of the week and left almost two feet of snow in some areas.
