Compared to last week: steer calves 450 to 650 lbs 2.00 to 5.00 higher except 500 to 550 lbs not well compared. Heifer calves 450 to 500 lbs 8.00 to 10.00 higher, 501 to 600 lbs 3.00 to 4.00 higher, 601 to 650 lbs mostly steady. Yearling steers and heifers not well compared today. Good to very good demand for both yearlings and calves offered today. Just a couple strings of yearlings offered in mostly moderate to moderate plus flesh. Calves today almost all off the cow except for one weaned package. A handful of loads offered but mostly packages, in light to moderate flesh overall. Quality was very attractive. An active market with much interest in getting calves bought before the end of the calendar year. This is the last feeder cattle sale of 2019, the next feeder cattle sale is Friday, January 3, 2020.
