Compared to last week: best test on steers 800 to 850 lbs and 951 to 1000 lbs mostly steady, 851 to 950 lbs 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Few heifers selling again this week. Good demand for today's yearling offering consisting mostly of loads and strings of steers, many of these off grass. Moderate to good demand for packages. Slightly more attractive quality and flesh than last week with very little tag on the cattle as so many were coming off grass. A mostly active market with many buyers attending the sale. Silage cutting is in full swing in the area and some bean harvest is starting. Rain is in the forecast for the weekend. Next feeder cattle sale is next Friday, October 4.
