Last feeder sale was three weeks ago, no comparisons will be made. Very good demand for this nice offering of weaned fall calves and yearlings in light to moderate flesh. The flesh condition was really attractive as there are some terribly dry areas and grass has run out. The market was very active as there were long strings of high quality yearlings offered in full loads and multiple load lots and there were plenty of buyers on the seats to buy these cattle that came right off grass. There were a few cattle that came out of growing yards with more flesh and were met with much less demand. As the cash fed cattle market continues to trade dollars over the futures, cattle feeders are feeling very optimistic and want to get these grass cattle bought when they are offered. Next feeder cattle sale will be Aug. 19, 2022.
