Last feeder sale was 3 weeks ago so no comparisons were made, but higher prices on all classes would be noted. Exceptional demand for todays offering made for a very active market with mostly order buyers getting cattle purchased. Flesh condition ranged from light fleshed cattle coming off short, dry grass conditions to moderate plus cattle coming out of grow yards. Several long strings from reputation producers offered buyers the opportunity to put multiple loads of one owner cattle together. Some localized rains in the area have provided some producers with grass and water for the grazing season. Other areas have been completely missed by the rain, making producers scramble for feed and water resources for their grazing livestock. The next feeder sale will be in three weeks, July 29th. Keep the steaks grilling.
