Last sale was 3 weeks ago, so no comparison will be made. Good to very good demand for todays large offering of yearlings and a consignment of spring born calves. Flesh condition ranged from light flesh cattle coming off dry pasture conditions to moderate flesh coming out of a grow yard. Several long strings of yearling offered buyers the opportunity to put multiple loads of the same sort (up to 21 loads) together. There were plenty of part loads and packages available that gave buyers the opportunity to make a full load of cattle. Full loads of black hided cattle off grass garner the most buyer interest. There was a consignment of replacement heifers that had been exposed to calving ease bulls that sold by the head and bought $3,500 per head. A consignment of spring born calves that were fresh off the cow and fully vaccinated with the steer and heifer calves selling together, there were 113 head in the main sort weighing 325 lbs and brought $2,100 per head. Multiple consignments of fall born calves, most had been weaned and turned out on pasture were meet with good demand. Excessive heat in the past couple of weeks has been tough on livestock, pasture conditions and row crops. Next feeder sale is scheduled for Friday, August 14, 2026.
