First Wednesday special black hided calf sale of the season. Therefore no price comparisons will be made. Nice run of attractive calves coming straight off the cow and most being fully vaccinated. Calves were light fleshed, clean and open haired, making them attractive to buyers. Full loads still continue to show more buyer interest when compared to part loads and packages. Mostly internet buyers and order buyers making for a fairly active market. With the recent nice weather fall harvest continues at a fairly rapid pace. Next feeder sale is scheduled for Friday, October 23, 2026, expecting a good run of yearlings and a large run of spring born calves.
