Compared to last Wednesday's sale: Steer calves 400# to 449# were steady to $3.00 higher; 450# to 499# were $6.00 to $8.00 lower; 500# to 599# were mostly steady to $4.00 lower. Heifer calves 350# to 449# were $10.00 to $12.00 lower, 450# to 599# were $3.00 to $6.00 lower. No other comparisons were available. The market was active today with a good demand for the fully preconditioned calves. The calves were in light flesh condition and straight off the cow. There were several weather related cancellations for today's sale. Next feeder sale will be Friday, October 29th, expecting a nice run of yearlings off grass and a large run of calves. Stay safe and eat beef.
