Compared to last Wednesday's sale: Steer calves from 400# to 549# were generally $4.00 to $8.00 lower; 550# to 649# were steady. Heifer calves from 350# to 549# were $4.00 to $8.00 higher. No other comparisons available. Nearly the entire offering was home raised, had spring and fall shots and carried light to moderate flesh condition. A large crowd in attendance with mostly order buyers competing against the internet bidders and farmer feeders for todays offering. A rain/snow mix in the area yesterday and today caused several weather related cancellations for todays sale. Next feeder sale will be this Friday, Oct 22nd, expecting a good run of yearlings and a large run of calves. Starting at 8:30ct with load lots of yearlings. Stay safe and EAT BEEF.
