Compared to last Wednesday's sale: Steer calves from 400# to 449# were steady to $2.00 lower, 450# to 499# were $5.00 to $7.00 higher, 500# to 600# were $2.00 to $4.00 higher; Heifer calves from 400# to 599# were mostly steady to $2.00 higher with instances of $4.00 higher. No other comparisons were available. An active market today as buyers were more anxious to buy cattle this week when compared to a week ago. More interest in the full loads and multiple loads of one owner cattle when compared to the part loads and packages. Calves were in light flesh condition and attractive for quality. Today's offering were all home raised, fully preconditioned and straight off the cow. Next sale will be Friday, November 5th, expecting a 1,000 yearlings off grass and 9,000 high quality calves.
