Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers unevenly steady. Very good demand for this large offering of high quality, home raised steers and replacement quality heifers. There were many strings of replacement type heifers that sold very easily, the market was extremely active as there were plenty of buyers wanting to get these heifers bought Fewer yearling making type steers and heifers, many more weighing 600 lbs plus that are suitable for feedyards. Flesh condition wasn't as light as it has been as cattle are weaned and on a growing ration and the weather has been extremely mild for January. Cattle futures continue to make good gains, helping to support the feeder cattle market. Next feeder cattle sale will be Jan 22, 2026.
