As filed

Compared to three weeks ago: Feeder steers and heifers 20.00 to 40.00 higher. Very good demand for all weight of steers and heifers, a large offering of very attractive, home raised feeder cattle and replacement quality heifers. The market was extremely active on those cattle that can be grown into yearlings, and for those high quality, replacement type heifers. The market was active on the heavier cattle bound for feedyards, but the pace of the bidding is much slower as cattle feeders still feel the sting of having to sell cattle below breakeven prices and don't want to get caught in that trap again. CME Live and Feeder Cattle futures have made considerable gains since the last sale, cash fed cattle up to 232.00 this week, all helped to light a fire under the feeder cattle market and push prices back up to where they were before the collapse in late October. Next feeder cattle sale will be Jan. 15, 2026
