Compared to 2 weeks ago: Steers 500 to 600 lbs. steady to 3.00 higher, Steers 600 to 700 steady to 5.00 higher, Steers 700 to 800 lbs. steady. Heifers 500 to 600 lbs. 5.00 to 10.00 lower, Heifers 600 to 700 lbs. steady to 5.00 higher, Heifers 700 to 800 lbs. steady to 5.00 higher. The demand was very good even with the CME cattle boards moving lower on tariff fears. The market was active from start to finish, had a few new buyers at the sale filling orders. The feeder cattle were carrying a bit more flesh then past sales, no cattle in a over fleshy condition. The sale had a large offering of heifer feeder cattle, a good number of replacement heifers in the offering. The eastern part of North Dakota received moisture this week. The Dickinson, ND area received just a trace. The extreme drought condition is getting serious the long term forecast is dry. Next week at Stockmen's will be a feeder cattle special along with bred cows.
