Compared to last week: steers 500 to 600 lbs. 10.00 to15.00 higher, steers 600 to 700 lbs. 2.00 to 5.00 higher, steers 700 to 800 lbs. steady to 5.00 lower, steers over 800 lbs. 10.00 lower, heifers 500 to 600 lbs. steady to 5.00 lower, heifers 600 to 700 lbs. steady to 3.00 higher, heifers 700 to 800 lbs. 5.00 to 10.00 lower. The buyer demand was very good from start to finish. The market continues to be active. The sale consisted of all weaned calves, no calves of the cow. The flesh condition was attractive with the majority of the cattle carrying a attractive flesh condition. The April 2025 CME live cattle futures closed the day at 197.65 this is supporting the feeder cattle prices at the barn. The Dickinson, ND area continues to be on the dry side with no measurable moisture for months. The next USDA reported sale at Stockmen's is January 23.
