Compared to last week feeder steers 500 to 550 lbs. were 31.00 lower, 550 to 600 lbs. were 14.00 lower and 600 to 650 lbs. were 32.00 lower. Feeder heifers 450 to 550 lbs. were 41.00 to 42.00 lower this week. These were the only weights of steers and heifers with number large enough for a comparison. Today's sale started out seeing low prices for the offering but it picked up around mid day. Several load lots of steers in today's offering as well as larger strings of spring calves. Buyer demand was good for today's offering especially for the lighter calves. Most calves came to market right off the cow and were in light to moderate flesh condition.
