Compared to last week, South Central Stockyards held their first big sale of November with a nice offering of good quality steer and heifer calves with few good comparisons as sales have been light recently. Demand was moderate to good on a moderate to heavy supply. There were several large bunches and groups of good quality steers in the offering with best demand on the 450-650 lb steers. CME Cattle futures after two days of heavy losses found some footing and closed in the green with Live Cattle contracts closing .62 to 1.05 higher on the front three months and Feeder Cattle closing with triple digit gains of 1.75 to 2.32 on the front three months. Slaughter cows compared to last week's very light test sold with a weak to lower undertone.
