Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers traded steady with most weights not well tested. Demand was good on a light supply. One stick out sale was a small package of 504 lb. steers that brought 293.00. A week or more, without rain, has producers beginning hay harvest in the Ozarks. Some report that the first cutting has yields better than last year but still below average. The first business day after a holiday saw Live Cattle Futures trading higher and Feeder Cattle Futures sharply higher as Corn Futures traded lower.
