A large crowd was on hand for the Special Replacement Cattle Sale at the Ozarks Regional Stockyard on Saturday, February 12. Demand was very good on a moderate supply. Bred Cows averaged $175/head higher than the last special sale in December with the top price of $1925/head for a package of 20 head of 3-6 year old cows in the 2nd to 3rd stage. Pairs averaged $200/head higher with the top price of $2,260/pair for a package of 26 head of 3-5 year old cows in the 1st stage with 400 lb. calves by their side. The supply consisted of 73 percent replacement animals with the balance made up of slaughter animals and calves.
