Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold mostly 10.00 to 20.00 lower except some heifers over 500 lbs 8.00 to 10.00 higher. Slaughter cows unevenly steady. Pretty light crowd this week with many turning their attention to finishing planting or cutting hay. The buyer crowd was also missing a couple from their regular seats. Lots of uncertainty and volatility in the cattle complex had the buyers that were present on their heels a bit. Supply and demand moderate.
