Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold mostly 15.00 to 20.00 lower, few spots sharply lower, however a few weights managed to tack on a couple dollars, mostly midweight grass steers in the right condition. Slaughter cows 3.00 to 8.00 higher. Good quality on offer this week with most in pretty good condition to go to grass although several were still packing some hair. A pretty light buyer crowd this week and those in attendance were a little more cautious in light of sharply lower cattle futures and an anticipated bearish Cattle on Feed report out Friday. Supply moderate, demand moderate.
