The local cash feeder market held up remarkably well this week considering all the factors currently in play. Another dismal day for cattle futures and soaring grain prices did little to slow buyers with the only true weak spot being steer calves under 550 lbs which traded with a sharply lower undertone after the big gains and big prices from the last couple weeks. Supply and demand moderate.
