Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers under 550 lbs sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher, heavier weights steady to 2.00 lower. Heifers under 500 lbs 3.00 to 4.00 lower, heavier weights steady to 4.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady. This week's offering was quite steer heavy with several loads and part loads on offer. This was another pretty solid week for the local cash trade given the volatility in so many outside influences, even though Thursday was the quietest day commodity futures have ridden out recently. Supply moderate, demand moderate to good.
