As filed

Compared to two weeks ago, steers sold steady to 3.00 lower and heifers firm to as much as 6.00 higher in spots, mostly on heifers over 500 lbs. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher. Good mix of calves and yearlings with a handful of load lots mixed in throughout the day. Six weight steers showed some strength to hold on to steady money from a couple weeks ago with heavier weights backed up just a bit as fat cattle continue to lose ground. Some strong heifer orders surfaced, particularly for those weighing 575-725 lbs, that narrowed the steer to heifer price spread a bit. Supply and demand moderate.
