Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale three weeks ago, steers sold unevenly steady and heifers 4.00 to 6.00 higher. Slaughter cows 2.00 to 5.00 lower. The local market pretty well shrugged off last Friday's bearish Cattle on Feed report as well as cattle futures that have struggled along most of this week. Several high quality consignments were available with most of the cattle in pretty green condition. Trade was active for most weights but particularly for heifers in the 575-675 lb range. Supply moderate, demand moderate to good.
