Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold 4.00 to 5.00 higher. Slaughter cows 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Good demand for the big strings and load lots of yearlings on hand with most of the cattle on offer in good condition here late in the summer. A very welcome break to the typical Missouri heat and humidity came this week, which has made handling and hauling stock easier, even if it's taking the hay a little longer to dry. Supply and demand moderate.
