Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale two weeks ago, steers under 550 lbs sold 1.00 to 3.00 higher, heavier weights 3.00 to 6.00 lower. Heifers 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Slaughter cows 4.00 to 5.00 higher. Not many big strings to match up this week, with a wide range of quality and even greater variation in condition on the cattle. Supply chain concerns are certainly at the front of every market participant's mind with many processing plants currently slowed or shut down which pressures all stages of beef production. Supply light and demand moderate.
