Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold mostly steady despite some weight ranges not reaching the top prices realized last week as the overall quality wasn't quite as attractive on the yearlings and the new crop calves are making up a larger percentage of the offering. Demand was moderate to good for a moderate supply. Cattle futures were higher Tuesday. Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 higher, bulls 8.00-10.00 higher.
