Compared to last week, steers and heifers mostly sold steady to 5.00 higher, however steer calves weighing 400-450 lbs sold 10.00-15.00 higher and 500-550 lbs traded 5.00-8.00 higher. Demand was very good for grazing cattle and moderate to good for yearlings. Supply was heavy and nearly all the cattle offered were reputation kind with good weigh ups. Cattle futures posted sharp gains this past Friday after several weeks in the red. Slaughter cows sold steady.
