Compared to last week, steers sold mostly 3.00-5.00 lower with spots up to 10.00 lower on the 500-550 lb weight range following last weeks higher market for those kind. Heifers sold steady to 5.00 lower. Cattle futures have closed sharply lower the last few days due to fears over the global affects of the coronavirus. Despite that, the market held up very well and demand remained good for calves and moderate for yearlings. Supply was moderate to heavy. Rainfall on Monday has made for muddy lots and difficulty feeding. Slaughter cows and bulls sold mostly steady.
