Compared to last week, steers sold mostly steady and heifers traded steady to 5.00 higher with most of the advance on the 500-600 lb weight range that sold with increased demand. Supply was light to moderate, impacted by the 5-8 inches of snow most around the area saw. However, some quality loads of yearlings and strings of weaned still made for an attractive run. Overall, demand was good. The un-weaned calves saw mostly small to no discounts in spots for those under 650 lbs as most have greened up quite a bit and buyers tried to fill orders. Slaughter cows sold 4.00-7.00 lower than the last reported market two weeks ago.
