As filed

Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers near steady. Feeder heifers 500-600 lbs 2.00-4.00 lower, other weights steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows 2.00-3.00 higher. Demand moderate to good. Supply moderate. A little bigger feeder movement than the past several weeks including three loads of yearling steers and heifers although many of the new crop calves that are norrmally showing up are either being weaned or still out with momma. Labor shortages and drastically reduced kills at many processing plants are causing major dysfunction with demand for fed cattle in the spot market barely existent while cutout values approach all-time highs as retailers attempt to stretch available supplies.
