Compared to the last special two weeks ago, feeder steers weighing 500-750 lbs sold 10.00-18.00 lower, with over 750 lbs selling with a sharply lower undertone. Feeder heifers weighing 450-750 lbs sold 10.00-12.00 lower, with a light test of 5 weight heifers selling mostly 5.00-10.00 lower. Slaughter cows traded steady to 2.00 lower. Demand was moderate on a moderate offering. A good offering of feeders, but this week's feeder cattle market got caught up in the free fall of the CME cattle futures and Stock Market plunge that wrecked havoc with a very volatile week of trading. Stock Market rebounded on Friday but CME cattle futures failed to respond.
